1. Applications in the Security field

The device for Reading/Writing the CHIPDRIVE® micro pro (USB) is used. The ActiveX DLL has been designed with the goal to read and write chipcards and based on that to offer functions which are especially for applications in the Security Sector for interest. Implemented are functions for the flexible reading and writing, the possibility to copy cards and the generation of protected und secure passwordcards. It is up to the programmer in which way the data should be stored on the chipcard and how the data is used afterwards. The ActiveX Component is designed as a flexible tool, which should make the integration of Chipcards in the applications easy.

One specific application is for example to provide passwords for cryptographical programms in a protected way. Through that possibility the user doesn't have to remember any used password, because they are stored on the Chipcard.
